Sport & fitness writing for people who actually train.
OneSport & Fitness is a small, independent publication for athletes, coaches and weekend warriors who'd rather train well than train loudly.
We started OneSport because the fitness internet had become exhausting. Endless influencer routines. Recycled advice dressed up as breakthroughs. Programs sold by people who don't actually run them.
So we built something quieter. Long-form essays. Honest training breakdowns. Field notes from coaches and clinicians who've spent years under a barbell, on a track, or in a clinic — written without the hype.
What we cover
- Strength. Programming that respects your time and your joints.
- Endurance. Zone-based training, fuelling and the long, boring miles.
- Nutrition. What an athlete's plate actually looks like, week to week.
- Recovery. Sleep, mobility, deloads — the unsexy half that decides everything.
- Mindset. The clinician's read on motivation, breath-work and the long game.
Our promise
Every essay we publish is grounded in real-world experience and backed by the research we cite. No fads. No shortcuts. No supplements we wouldn't take ourselves.
If you'd like our writing in your inbox, the Sunday letter is the best place to start. One thoughtful essay, two training breakdowns and a single study worth reading — every Sunday morning.
